Amir Khan had created a separate identity for himself by acting only in quality films. He always had got good songs in his films and his films became successful due to those reasons too.
The songs in his film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, opposite Juhi Chawla, became extremely popular in the late 80s. The songs were composed by Anand Milind and mostly sung by Udit Narayan. Also the songs in the film Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke, opposite Juhi Chawla, became superhit. The film was related to the relation of Amir Khan with children who contributed a lot in the film. The song “ghunghat ke aarpe dil barkha” was melodious and became extremely successful.
Also the songs in the film Mann, where Manisha Koirala acted opposite Amir Khan became extremely successful. The song “mera dil kyun tumhe chahe” sung by Udit Narayan was the biggest hit in the year.
Amir Khan also did well in the film Ghulam, opposite Rani Mukherjee. The film also had action sequences, but the music of the film was one of the main attractions. The song “jadu hai, tera hi jadu”, became very popular. The other films of Amir Khan where music played a major role include Sarfarosh, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, Taren Zameen Par, etc.
The viewers expect Amir Khan to continue his good work both as an actor and director and continue to provide good performance in melodious songs picturised on him in the quality films that he is involved with.
