Neetu Singh is one of the spontaneous actresses who had provided significant performances in the bollywood films of 70s and 80s. She had started her career as a child artist by performing in the film Do Kaliyan where the main roles were performed by Biswajeet and Mala Sinha.
Neet Singh stormed bollywood films by forming a legendary pair with Rishi Kapoor. Her performance in Khel Khel Me was well appreciated by film lovers. He story depicted the youth and immaturity of college students who got into trouble by playing informal games. Rakesh Roshan also did well in the film.
In Kabhi Kabhi, she did well opposite Rishi Kapoor, who played the role of the son of Shashi Kapoor. Shashi Kapoor was married to Rakhee, who had an affair with Big B, who was legendary poet but could not marry him. The songs in the film “kabhi kabhi mere dil me”, “mai pal do al ka shayar hoon”, sung by Mukesh and Lata became everlasting hits.

Apart from Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh also acted opposite Shashi Kapoor in Dewaar, Shatrughun Sinha in Kala Patthar, Big B in the Great Gambler, Jeetender in Burning Train. She gave excellent lips in the film Burning Train, in the song “pal do pal ka saath hamara”, sung by Asha and Rafi and composed by RD Burman. She had a spontaneous appeal with her effortless performances in the roles she had played.
